Gide China attends the 2nd International Mining Investment and Development Summit

On 30 and 31 March, Guo Min, Chen Xi and Benjamin Ruffet of Gide China attended the 2^nd International Mining Investment and Development Summit held in Beijing and organized by Mining World, under the auspices of the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources.

The event comprised two days of forum and panel discussions, including among others: 

• Global Macroeconomic and Mining Industry Prospects, by official researchers and government think-tanks of the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources;
• Mining Investment Market Analysis and Prospects, provided by large Chinese mining corporations; and
• The Impact of Complex International Environment on Overseas Investment by Chinese Mining Companies, in which Chen Xi spoke about mining investments in Africa and the legal challenges faced by Chinese corporations on the continent.

Gide China was the only international law firm invited in this event and it successfully presented Gide’s capabilities to assist Chinese mining clients with their investment projects worldwide.
