In a bid to take action to end unjustified pay gaps between men and women, Article L. 1142-8 of the French Labour Code makes it mandatory for all companies of at least 50 employees to calculate their gender equality index, out of 100.
The overall score must then be published on the company's website at the latest on 1 March of each year. Gide has thus carried out this analysis for its employee population, for the third consecutive year.
The indicators used cover gender pay gap, gender pay rise rate gap, percentage of female employees who received a pay rise in the year they returned from maternity leave, and the number of employees of the under-represented gender among the ten highest paid employees (more information here). Scores of 100 indicate perfect gender equality.
For the year 2023, our score is 99 out of 100, with:
Closing the gender pay gap for comparable jobs and age groups: 39 points out of 40
Same opportunity between men and women of having a pay rise and promotion: 35 points out of 35
All female employees given a pay rise on returning from maternity leave, where pay rises have been granted in their absence: 15 out of 15
At least four women or men in the top ten highest paid employees: 10 out of 10
