Lawyers from Gide Warsaw have advised a consortium of banks, including PKO BP, BNP Paribas BP, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Europe) Branch in Poland, Bank Pekao, mBank, Bank Millennium, Credit Agricole, Société Générale, Bank Handlowy, Bank Ochrony Środowiska and Intesa Sanpaolo S.P.A. Branch in Poland in granting financing to the Ciech Group for a total amount of PLN 2.115 billion.
The loan agreement between a consortium of banks – PKO BP, BNP Paribas BP, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Europe) Branch in Poland, Bank Pekao, mBank, Bank Millennium, Credit Agricole, Société Générale, Bank Handlowy, Bank Ochrony Środowiska and Intesa Sanpaolo S.P.A. Branch in Poland – and Ciech and its subsidiaries (Ciech Soda Polska, Ciech Sarzyna, Ciech Soda Deutschland, Ciech Energy Deutschland GmbH and Ciech Salz Deutschland GmbH), provides for granting a term loan of up to PLN 560 million, a term loan of up to PLN 1,305 million and a revolving loan of up to PLN 250 million.
The consortium of banks was supported in the course of negotiating and signing the loan agreement by Marta Karmińska – legal advisor, and Paulina Surma – legal trainee, from Gide Warsaw’s Banking and Finance Department. The project was supervised by Dariusz Tokarczuk, partner in charge of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at Gide Warsaw.
