Gide, counsel to Naval Energies on the sale of its floating wind activity to Saipem

Gide has advised Naval Energies, a 100% subsidiary of Naval Group, on the sale of its floating wind activity (assets and staff).

Naval Energies has more than 10 years’ experience in floating offshore wind and has developed a semi-submersible floater concept which is among the best in the market.

Naval Group had announced in early February that it was ending its developments in the offshore renewable energy sector by starting a process aimed at the disposal of Naval Energies’ activities, including the search for a buyer for all or part of the company’s activities. The completion of the transaction is subject to obtaining the relevant administrative authorisations

Gide’s team advising Naval Energies comprised partner Anne Tolila, working with associate Jonathan Navarro on corporate/M&A aspects, partner François Vergne on employment law aspects, and partner Magali Buchert on tax aspects.

The team of firm Lusis Avocats that assisted Naval Energies on employment aspects comprised partners Frédéric Leclercq and Hélène Said.

Saipem was advised by De Pardieu Brocas Maffei.
