Gide acted in the setting up of the FCT Artemid Senior Loan fund as counsel to Capzanine and Amiral Gestion, two portfolio management companies. Capzanine specialises in mezzanine investments in SMEs/Mid-Caps, while Amiral Gestion invests equity in such companies. Together, they have set up a joint subsidiary, Artemid SAS, dedicated to senior loans to SMEs and Mid-Caps.
This joint securitisation fund, set up on 30 September 2014, is eligible for the regime applicable to funds dedicated to lending into the “real economy” (fonds de prêts à l'économie), in application of decree dated 2 August 2013 that modifies certain insurance company investment rules. FCT Artemid Senior Loan fund follows on from the Novo 1 and Novo 2 funds set up in September 2013.
The fund’s initial investment capacity is 100 million euros. Its aim is to either subscribe to bonds issued by listed and non-listed companies located in the European Union, or to purchase loans granted to such companies.
France Titrisation is the Management Company, while BNP Paribas Securities Services is the Custodian.
Gide’s team comprised partner Gilles Saint Marc and associate David Aumain.
