Gide acted as counsel to HEXARQ, a subsidiary of the BPCE group, in securing its licence as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP).
This licence, supervised by the French Financial Markets Authority (Autorité des marchés financiers, AMF), has been granted to only four institutions in France. Securing it requires compliance with stringent requirements regarding organisational structure, financial resources, business conduct, and cybersecurity, among others. This will enable HEXARQ to provide services in the French market, such as the custody of digital assets on behalf of third parties, the buying and selling of digital assets against fiat currency, and the exchange of digital assets for other digital assets.
The Gide team was composed of Franck Guiader, John Le Guen, and Luc Colin.
