Gide Loyrette Nouel acted on the setting up of the NOVO 1 securitisation mutual fund as counsel to BNP Paribas Asset Management (financial counsel), France Titrisation (management company) and BNP Paribas Securities Services (custodian).
This fund, set up on 8 October 2013 by group BNPP, is one of the first fonds de prêts à l'économie to be created in line with decree dated 2 August 2013 that modified certain investment rules for insurance companies. It was set up on the initiative of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (Consignments and Loans Fund, CDC) thanks to the investment of some twenty insurers.
This fund aims to help finance French SMEs and mid-caps by subscribing to bond issues for a total amount of EUR 660 million.
