Gide's office in Warsaw advised the shareholders of Private Label Tissue sp. z o.o. and Italian Paper sp. z o.o. on the sale of their shares to Velvet Care sp. z o.o., one of the largest producers of hygiene products in Poland, part of the Partners Group investment firm.
The team from Gide Warsaw, comprising Partner Paweł Grześkowiak, counsel Wojciech Czyżewski, associate Magdalena Zawiślak and associate Dominik Figura, supported the sellers at every stage of the transaction, including in the preparation and negotiation of transaction documentation.
Private Label Tissue, with its registered office in Rawa, specialises in the production of high-quality hygiene and sanitary paper products.
Italian Paper, with its registered office in Warsaw, is a Polish company distributing hygiene products to large retail chains in Poland, such as Auchan, Carrefour, Selgros, Eurocash, Makro, POLOmarket, Mila, Lidl, Stokrotka, E.Leclerc, Hebe drugstores, Super-Pharm, Natura and Leroy Merlin stores.
Velvet Care, with its registered office in Klucze, is a leader in the cellulose-based hygiene products industry in Poland and leading producer in Central Europe, with an estimated turnover of PLN 1.5 billion in 2024. In March 2024, the company was acquired by global investment firm Partners Group, which manages assets worldwide valued at more than USD 140 billion.
