Gide has advised FIFA in connection with the establishment of the FIFA Africa office in Morocco.
Gide advice covered all aspects of the project, including legal due diligence, structuring, negotiation and drafting of the “Host Agreement” entered into between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, FIFA and the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football, as well as the assistance for the creation of the FIFA Africa office in Morocco.
The Host Agreement was signed on December 16th, 2024 during the 2024 CAF Awards ceremony held in Marrakech (Kingdom of Morocco).
The Gide team was led by partner Wacef Bentaibi, supported by associate Julien Nouchi on tax aspects ; Omar Fatemi, external consultant, on Employment law ; and associate Hicham Ngassi Saqout on Public law and regulatory aspects.
