Gide, counsel to REI Habitat on a partnership with AXA IM – Real Assets in the French forestry and wood sector
REI Habitat group’s ambition over the next seven years is to develop more than 400,000 sq. m. of wood-framed housing and offices throughout France, representing approximately 120,000 sq. m. of French wood and a significant increase in activity for the French forestry and wood sector.
Gide advised REI Habitat on this transaction, with a team comprising partner Nicolas Planchot, working with associate Chloé Charrier on real estate aspects; partner Thomas Urlacher and associate Eya Ennaifer on corporate aspects; and partner Bertrand Jouanneau and associate Vincent Michaux on tax aspects.

The partners REI Habitat and AXA IM – Real Assets, as well as all players involved in implementing this partnership, including Gide, pledge to donating a part of their fees earned to “Plantons pour l’avenir”. This endowment fund, set up in 2014 and managed by professionals of France’s forestry and wood sector, aims to support sustainable management reforestation projects in France, as well as education and research projects.
