Gide advises Pernod Ricard SA in its return to the USD bond market with the issuance of USD 2 billion in three tranches

Gide advised Pernod Ricard S.A. (“Pernod Ricard”) in connection with the issuance by Pernod Ricard International Finance, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pernod Ricard, who acted as guarantor of the issuance.

This new bond issuance, in an aggregate principal amount of USD 2,000,000,000 in bonds, comprised three tranches:

  • USD 600,000,000 bonds due 2028;
  • USD 900,000,000 bonds due 2031; and
  • USD 500,000,000 bonds due 2050.

The return to the USD bond market is another step forward in Pernod Ricard’s financial strategy to pro-actively manage near-term debt redemptions while reducing its average cost of debt and lengthening its maturity profile.

The Gide team advising Pernod Ricard was led by capital markets partner Melinda Stege Arsouze, together with senior associate Scott Logan and associate Mélanie Simon.

The underwriters were advised by White & Case.
