Gide advised Slate VC and Bpifrance in Fairmat’s €50 million-plus fundraising round

Gide advised Slate VC, an early-stage venture capital fund investing in high-potential technology start-ups, and Bpifrance, in the raising of over €50 million for Fairmat, a French deeptech company specialising in the recycling of carbon fibre composite materials.

The deal includes equity funding of €26.5 million from Bpifrance, via its Large Venture fund, and Slate VC, as well as additional debt financing of €25 million from the European Investment Bank (EIB).

This financing will enable Fairmat to strengthen its industrial carbon fibre recycling capacity and produce a high-performance material that is lighter than aluminium.

The Gide team comprised partner Louis Oudot de Dainville and associate Tiphaine Dupont, who advised on the corporate/M&A aspects.
