Gide counsel to JACQUEMUS on the signing of a long-term exclusive beauty partnership with the L’Oréal Group

Gide has advised JACQUEMUS on the signing of a long-term exclusive beauty partnership with the L’Oréal Group, further solidified by L’Oréal’s minority investment in JACQUEMUS supporting the brand’s independent development.

Founded in 2009 by Simon Porte Jacquemus, the eponymous Paris-based brand reimagines the codes of haute couture with ingenuity and imagination. Inspired by childhood memories from the South of France and a wide range of artistic influences, Simon Porte Jacquemus’ creations shine a light on the French independent fashion scene.

JACQUEMUS was advised by Gide with partner Jean-François Louit, counsel Elise Bernard, and associates Thaïs Renondin de Hauteclocque and Léa Boutin on corporate matters; partner Raphaëlle Dequiré-Portier and associate Ludivine Meissirel-Marquot on intellectual property matters; partner Paul de France, associate Charles Ghuysen, and Clément Andrup on tax matters; as well as partner Eric Cartier-Million on financing aspects.

L’Oréal was advised by Bird & Bird on corporate and intellectual property matters, with partner Emmanuelle Porte and associate Elodie Vardon handling corporate aspects, and partner Anne-Charlotte Le Bihan, associates Eva Kessi and Alexandra Schellino advising on intellectual property matters.
