Wolfgang Müller has held several positions within the European Commission in Brussels. He spent his career in the Directorate General for Trade dealing with all aspects of trade remedies (anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard instruments). In his last position, he was Deputy to the Director and Head of the Unit responsible for General Policy, WTO relations and relations with Industry in the field of trade defence.
Before working for the European Commission he held various positions in the German automobile industry.
Wolfgang Müller is a graduate from the University of Freiburg law school and holds a PHD of the University of Constance. He is also Research Associate at the University Côte d'Azur at Nice (Laboratoire de Droit International et Européen).
He has published extensively on EU and WTO trade remedies law.
