Pierre Collet
Practices
Pierre Collet is an associate in the "International Arbitration" team at Gide's Paris office.
He acts as counsel and secretary to arbitral tribunals in ad hoc and institutional international arbitrations (ICC, ICSID, CMAP, PCA), notably in the aeronautics, insurance/reinsurance, construction, energy and telecommunications sectors, as well as in disputes relating to the protection of foreign investments. He also acts in arbitration-related litigation before the French courts.
Pierre currently acts as counsel to the French Republic in a UNCITRAL arbitration in relation to the alleged violation of the France-Russia bilateral investment treaty in the mining industry.
Prior joining Gide, Pierre worked in the Office of the Prosecutor of the former International Criminal Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda in The Hague, the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs in New York. Pierre holds law degrees from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and New York University. He is admitted to the New York Bar and the Paris Bar.
