Practices

Paul Margelidon is an associate in Gide's "Public, Energy and Environmental" Law team in Paris.

He is particularly active in two areas: infrastructure and regulated sectors. In the area of infrastructure, Paul assists his clients with both the award and performance aspects of contracts (concession contracts; public-private partnerships; contracts for the construction and operation of facilities). In the regulated sectors, he advises on media and transport (opening up of the rail sector to competition).

Paul has worked on a wide range of projects, including the construction and operation of essential rail facilities, the financing of rail rolling stock fleets as part of the opening up of regional express trains to competition, and the award and implementation of motorway and sports stadium concessions, both during the construction and operation phases. It was also involved in the reallocation of digital terrestrial television frequencies by the regulatory authority.

Paul is a graduate of the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and Sciences Po Paris, where he completed a Masters in Public Economic Law. He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2021.
