Marta Wojtkowiak, attorney-at-law, a member of the litigation & arbitration and IP/IT teams at Gide.
She advises businesses in court and arbitration proceedings, as well as in proceedings before administrative bodies and European authorities. She also represents financial institutions in disputes with business and individual clients, as well as clients from the real estate, energy and construction sectors in disputes related to the non-performance of contractual obligations. She has experience in disputes concerning infringements of the personal rights of businesses.
She represents clients in bankruptcy proceedings and advises entities at risk of bankruptcy. She supports clients in matters concerning intellectual and industrial property rights, including patents, copyrights, advertising and media law.
She advises clients in the luxury brand industry on intellectual property protection issues and represents them in litigation for any infringements of these rights. She is also a professional representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office, where she represents clients in matters relating to the registration of European trade marks. She has extensive experience in cooperating with French-speaking clients, both in terms of consultancy and litigation.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and from the University of Toulouse I Capitole, France, where she specialised in procedural law and arbitration. She also completed a course in Alternative Dispute Resolution at Pablo de Olavide University in Seville, as well as a course in French and European Commercial Law organised by the University of Wroclaw and Paris Dauphine University.
She is a lecturer on competition law in the Master 2 French and European Business Law at the University of Poitiers organized at the University of Warsaw.
She speaks Polish, English, French and Spanish.
