Admitted to the Paris Bar in 1998, Of Counsel Julien Aillet specialises in real estate tax law. Julien helps implement and monitor the real estate portfolio disinvestment and restructuring programmes for private and public companies alike. He acts as counsel on restructuring real estate portfolio acquisitions for French (SIIC, OPCI, banks) and foreign investors (open European funds, North-American funds, sovereign funds). He also assists a number of banks in managing their tax issues pertaining to financings and/refinancings of real estate assets or real estate companies.
Julien has recently advised BNP Paribas on the acquisition of companies owning a number of retail assets in France, as well as Natixis, CACIB and Société Générale on financing real estate assets located in France for office, retail or warehouse use.
A graduate of Lyon III University (postgraduate degree in notarial law), Julien obtained the certificate of access to the legal profession from Paris II - Panthéon-Assas University, and a Master's degree in asset management from ESCP Europe. He is fluent in French and English.
