Gide 255 director Franck Guiader is an expert in advanced technologies, digital finance and the regulation of innovations (marketplaces, blockchain, security tokens, ICOs, stablecoins, NFT, Metaverse, roboadvisors, crowdfunding, AI). In this capacity, he advises both public and private institutions and companies on their development projects requiring the integration of technology-related specifics in their legal structuring and cybersecurity.
Member of the Consultative Commission "Markets and Exchanges" of the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF), and member of the "Technological Innovations & Regulatory Evolutions" Committee of the French Asset Management Association (AFG), Franck is also a key player in the development of the Paris financial market, for which he has established several working groups on financial regulation and developing attractiveness. Franck has in particular steered the work of the "FROG" group for the development of asset management, and "UNICORN" for the development of digital assets in France.
Franck began his career as a financial analyst at Lazard in 2001 and was involved in debt restructuring and government advisory assignments. He then joined BNP Paribas, and the NYSE-Euronext group at the time of its merger.
Between 2011 and 2018, he was successively nominated as the Head of the Asset Management Regulation Division within the French Financial Markets Authority (Autorité des Marchés Financiers - AMF), and then established and headed its Fintech, Innovation and Competitiveness division. He also chaired the AMF-ACPR Fintech Forum with the prudential authority.
Franck holds a Master's degree in business law and a Master's degree in finance from the University of Paris Panthéon-Assas. He is also a graduate of the University of Paris René Descartes in applied mathematics, and of Neoma Business School.
He teaches digital asset law, digital finance and European regulation at the University of Paris Dauphine, the Institut de Haute Finance, and the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne.
