Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2016, Célia Alao joined Gide's Projects (Finance and Infrastructure) department in 2017.
Celia Alao assists governments, sponsors and international financial institutions on projects in the infrastructures, energy and natural resources sectors. Celia also advises on the development and financing of projects in the tourism sector and urban development projects combining new technologies (smart cities) in sub-Saharan Africa.
Before joining Gide, Celia worked in the PROPARCO legal department and in other law firms. She also worked in Benin as an in-house counsel in a port company. She has a real knowledge of OHADA and UEMOA Law.
Celia graduated from Université Paris René-Descartes (Paris V) and the International Law School of Sorbonne-Assas in international business law.
