Barbara Streichenberger-Michel is Senior Counsel in the Employee Share Ownership, Remuneration and Governance team. She advises major French companies and banks, both listed and unlisted, on the design, roll-out in France and outside of France and monitoring of their employee share ownership and equity compensation plans, as well as on related corporate governance issues.
Barbara advises on all aspects of French law and international coordination, in particular with regard to company law, securities law, employment law, data protection law, and tax law, relating to employee share ownership programs, as well as issues relating to executive remuneration and corporate governance.
Employee share ownership programs include employee share offerings (classic, leveraged, within and outside the framework of a company savings plan) or synthetic shares, and free share and performance share plans and stock option plans (democratic and discretionary).
She also deals with issues relating to employee savings schemes, company mutual funds (FCPE) and the election of directors representing employees and employee shareholders. Her experience extends to IPOs and mergers and acquisitions.
Barbara has been a member of the Paris Bar since 1996. She is bilingual in French and English.
