Barbara Streichenberger-Michel is Senior Counsel in the "Employee Share Ownership" team at Gide's Paris office.
She advises major listed and non-listed companies on the design and deployment in France and abroad of their employee share ownership and share-based compensation schemes, as well as on related corporate governance issues, including in connection with mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings. She also deals with matters relating to company/group savings plans, employee share ownership funds and elections of directors representing employees and employee shareholders.
Barbara has worked on numerous employee share offerings (traditional, leveraged, under group savings plans or outside such a framework), free share plans, performance share plans and stock options (democratic and discretionary) in France and abroad, for French and foreign issuers, in a variety of sectors, including insurance, banking, electrification, automation and digitization, pharmaceuticals, automotive equipment suppliers, food services, digital services, media and communications.
Barbara holds law degrees from the Universities of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. She worked at Shearman & Sterling LLP until 2022. She has been a member of the Paris Bar since 1996.
