Practices

Arnaud van de Putte is an associate in Gide's International Trade team. His practice covers trade defence and international sanctions.

He assists both companies and Governments in the context of anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard procedures (trade defence), as well as European and WTO law. Familiar with the internal workings of the European Trade Policy, he advises clients on trade, customs, and EU regulatory issues as well as on the WTO consistency of various obstacles to trade. He further advises clients on compliance with sanctions and export control regulations, with a focus on the EU and France.

Arnaud recently assisted European producers in the steel industry in AD proceedings targeting China, a European agrifood industry in a Chinese AD investigation or a financial institution on the WTO compatibility of financing to the aerospace industry. Arnaud also assisted multinationals in assessing sanctions compliance of distributing dual-use products and of financing and technical assistance.

Arnaud studied at the Université Saint-Louis Brussels (Bachelor in Law, trilingual), the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Master in Law) and the University of Edinburgh (LL.M. in International Economic Law). He was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2020.
