To help you realise your ambitions, we understand that it is essential to support our talented team members at key stages in their careers. This is why we have developed a programme aimed specifically at the firm's lawyers:
- An induction day will help you settle in to the firm and get used to your new work environment
- A mentor will be assigned to support you in your early days with Gide
- Assistance is available to you in carrying out the various formalities required of lawyers
- An associate representative for each practice area and each international office relays any requests from the lawyers to the Executive Committee
- With the aim of promoting an open and sharing environment, we monitor your progress within the firm through annual appraisals and encourage career development and international mobility opportunities
Since 2012, our lawyers have also been able to apply for an attractive and selective new position: that of "counsel", a real stepping stone to becoming partner.
Gide Academy
Gide's training centre implements an ambitious policy of knowledge-sharing and offers all associates, regardless of their field and level of expertise, the chance for further learning.
A number of programmes and formats are available, enabling all members of the firm to acquire and share the knowledge inherent to the exercise of their profession.
Within Gide, each lawyer follows a training programme comprising various modules that allow them to better understand their working environment and develop and strengthen their skills throughout their time with the firm.
The programme focuses on the four following key areas:
- Best practice and ethics for lawyers
- Technical legal expertise
- Familiarity with the Gide tools
- General training and personal development
According to their profiles and seniority, associates are invited to attend modules for newcomers as well as a range of specific courses:
