Conference on Sport Arbitration

The Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey organized a late afternoon conference on 9 November 2016 in Istanbul, presenting “A Practitioner’s Approach to the Proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)“, sponsored by international law firm Gide.

Partner Arpat Şenocak (Gide Turkey), acting as President of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey, hosted the event and partner Carole Malinvaud (Gide Paris, International Arbitration – Appointed member of the ICAS) delivered a presentation on the recently experimented ad hoc commission at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The conference included presentations from the following speakers from Switzerland, who respectively spoke about the structure of the CAS, the appeal proceedings, and the applicable material law in sports arbitration:
