Sophie Creusvaux is counsel in the "Insurance" team at Gide's Paris office. She has extensive experience in all areas of insurance law (personal and non-life insurance, distribution) and in liability law.
She advises and litigates with insurers, reinsurers and distributors on the regulation of insurance and reinsurance undertakings, the design or analysis of the compliance of insurance contracts and pre-contractual documentation and on market issues (known price, guaranteed rates, profit sharing, eligible assets representing unit-linked commitments, waiver, duty to advise, Covid-19 loss guarantee, cyber guarantees, affinity insurance, etc.).
Sophie has solid experience in managing strategic legal disputes and is involved in legal actions brought by consumer associations (group actions, actions for injunctions, etc.) She regularly assists organisations (insurance companies, mutual insurers, distributors) in the context of inspections carried out by the ACPR (both during the inspection phase and during any disciplinary proceedings before the Enforcement Committee).
Sophie is a graduate of the Magistère de Droit des Activités Economiques and holds a Master 1 in Business Law and a Master 2 in Insurance Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. She has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2011.
