The French merger control regime is governed by the provisions of Book IV of the French Commercial Code (article L.430-1 and following), as amended by the Law on the Modernisation of the Economy (LME) enacted on 4 August 2008, and the government’s Order No. 2008-1161, dated 14 November 2008.
